I love the show Succession, as much as the next person and am happy for the cast that they won best drama. However, I am completely appalled by the showrunner, Jesse Armstrong’s arrogant comment during his acceptance speech,
“A big week for successions: A new King in the UK, this for us. Evidently a little bit more voting involved in our winning than Prince Charles,”
This said nothing about King Charles and everything about Jesse Armstrong and how similar he is to the characters he creates. King Charles does not need to be voted in, Not only has he spent his entire life preparing to be king. But I know him personally and have spent enough time with him developing an environmental project to know that he is a leader way ahead of his time.
We have had tea together, been to personal parties, travelled with him to New York where AL Gore gave him an environmental award, and sited the Prince as his mentor. King Charles was also hugely instrumental in my PhD on how to use wellbeing principles to create harmony inside of workspaces. He is one of the most evolved souls I have ever met. King Charles gets my vote and Armstrong does not.
